Kinneybrook, Kenwood, CA

Based on a strong referral from a structural engineer the owners of Kinneybrook engaged us to design a home, which reflected a distinct Mediterranean Villa with authentic and consistent details.

This Italiante home sits proudly on a 5-acre private and prestigious south-facing site overlooking Kenwood vineyards and a deeply wooded canyon. Mornings on this site bring views of wispy fog and streaks of sunlight through the oak trees. Kinneybrook is a 4000 square foot main house with painted wood windows, pre-cast columns and balustrades which elegantly encompasses the stained concrete terraces. The portcochere is flanked by two large ionic columns leading to the main house. The master bedroom suite is on the 2nd floor, which leads to a sun terrace overlooking the pool. The detached 3-car garage is designed to allow a 2nd floor addition for the future and is designed to look more like a period carriage house than a typical garage with out-swing doors and iron hardware. The colors of Kinneybrook were selected to reflect the native California landscape.
