Thornsberry, Sonoma, CA
A bold new design for this ranchette.

Situated along a well traveled road to Gundulach-Bunschu Winery this house was begging for a remodel. We carved out the center of the existing house and placed a gracious, and bold new great room in its place. 20 x 60 feet with a stone fireplace at one end and a wall of glass at the other. The new garage served as a temporary residence during construction and now it is used as a guest house. The exterior colors were selected by matching the color found on a moss growing on the oak trees. We decided to go light on the color because the buildings are in constant shade in a canopy of canyon oaks.
